This is the final post I’m resurrecting from the old site. It was a primer that I wrote right before Age of Conan released and was quite popular.

Yesterday I talked about open pvp with consequences and the content that added; today I’m going to kind of expand on that a bit with “The nemesis and virtual property”.
I’m an old school gamer who started back in 1997 with the release of ultima online. I started off as a card carrying carebear. Hugs, kisses, and roses for all! However my time in UO taught me one major life lesson. In MMO’s there are two types of people. The Screwer and the Screwee and believe me, its no fun being the screwee.

Back a few years ago I was feeling nostalgic and wrote down a few of our older escapades from UO and AC. Unfortunately we moved webhosts and the files didn’t make the change with us. However I found an ancient TDK treasure trove with some ancient TDK hieroglyphics and was able to recover this beauty.
Whats missing in current MMO’s
It’s kind of a shocker once you realize that what you think personally and your own beliefs just might be the minority. I still remember my first government class in college…we were discussing the up coming election in 2000 and I jokingly made a statement about liberals…assuming everyone else in the room agreed with me… and I still remember the shocked feeling when 90% of the room looked like they were ready to lynch me. I’m starting to feel that my thoughts on pvp in MMO’s are similar to my thoughts on politics… I might just be in the minority.

Dont get me wrong, the creepy guy in the distance that is coming to kill your entire family is cool…but I’d prefer something with a little less foliage. Shoot me an email or drop a comment if you are interested in helping us out!
So after being out of pc gaming completely for damn near 2 months I have finally managed to return and now with more power! Tim the tool man Taylor would be jealous.
We headed to frys last weekend and snagged all the parts. One of the things that absolutely blew me away was this monstrosity. This bad boy is a heat sink, and not just any heat sink, its freaking huge. I have a route 44 sonic cup in the back ground so you can get a bit of scale. This monster was bigger than my video card.
I ended up with a I7 930 quad, backed up by a nice ATI HD 5770 1 gig monster and I am now ready to begin the ownage!
Well looks like Riot finally got everything ready to go and has opened season one. TDK plans to participate and kick some ass and take some names.
Currently we have a 3 man team full and we are looking for another person to fill our fifth slot. If you are interested, head on over to the forums and introduce yourself.
Pretty self explanatory title. Finally decided to try the game out after resisting for so long due to the IWNet PC thing, but couldnt resist renting it on PS3. Gotta say the single player was probably the best FPS Storyline I have ever played…least till the end.
Some of the fights were just epic.
Anyways wanting to play some of the Spec ops missions and could use a partner that isnt 12 years old. If you have a PS3 and you want to hook up then leave a comment.
For those who arent aware Lord of the rings online is going free to play some time in the next six months or so. They do currently have a beta up and running for it, so if you want a little free time to check the game out I highly recommend it.
If enough people are interested we may run a group there a few times a week.
